Facilities available at NDPIC include a dedicated phone
line for poison and drug information, text books, journals,
internet, fax, electronic databases- MICROMEDEX, USPDI,
IPCS INCHEM, INTOX, eDTB, eBNF and NDPIC treatment protocols.
It has a link with the Central Ohio Poisons Center (24hours/7days)
and internet links with many poison centers throughout
the world. The service is provided by pharmacists. NDPIC
has support of many local professionals comprising general
physicians, pediatricians, pharmacists, pharmaceutical
chemists, clinical pharmacologists, forensic medicine
experts, psychiatrists, psychologists, herbalist, herpetologist,
entomologist and veterinary physician.
